5 Simple Things to Success Picture

“The first step is to establish that something is possible; then probability will occur.” – Elon Musk . We all have dreams, the difference is that some of us take the necessary steps towards fulfilling those dreams while some others can be bogged down by negativity and doubt. The one thing that almost every successful person have in common with another is vision. Bill Gates saw a future where every home had a PC; Henry Ford brought the automobile to the masses and Richard Branson completely redefined innovation and customer satisfaction through his Virgin Group of companies. All these people thought big and went to create a massive impact. Okay, so how can we think really big? How can we liberate ourselves from the limitations we may not be aware of? How can we see clearly that anything is possible? Here's a solution that can be of interest.

1. Believe that Anything Is Possible

In order to think really big and achieve massive accomplishments, we first must have an unwavering belief in ourselves. Fortunately, belief can be acquired and trained. Yes, there are going to be failures. In fact, we aren't dreaming big enough if we do not fail at least a few times. “Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find the ways to do it. Believing a solution paves the way to solution.’’- David J. Shwartz.

2. Create an Empowering Vision

We have something to offer the world. That is a certainty. We just need to find out what it is and see it through the eyes of a champion. If we have the right kind of vision, we will be unstoppable. Here’s a little example that will amplify this reasoning. Henry Ford failed not only once but five times and even went broke before he succeeded in being one of the most celebrated names in the motor industry today. Through all of his failures, Henry Ford knew he had a vision. He was not willing to let that vision go, instead, he stuck to it no matter what was happening, it is thanks to this vision that each one of us now can enjoy the freedom of moving by car.

3. Remove Any Limitations

Have you ever had an idea that you shared and heard “it cannot be done”? If you did, chances are that you were onto the right path to really innovate, create a solution to a problem or about to brake some laws of physics. It is important to understand that the human mind is so powerful once the limitations within our minds are removed.

4. Never Give Up Because of Failure

Entrepreneurship or simply the art of attempting any kind of project or idea calls for absolutely unwavering commitment to follow through no matter what. As an example of this quality, here’s a bold thinker, perhaps one of the greatest inventors that have ever lived: Thomas Edison. The inventor of the light bulb failed miserably throughout his life. His school teachers said that he was not smart enough. In fact, they said that he was too “stupid” to learn anything. Additionally, he was fired from two jobs because his employers thought he was not productive enough. And perhaps most astonishingly, he failed 1,000 times when trying to invent what all of the planet uses now on a daily basis: the light bulb.

5. Create Motion by Action

Many of us get stuck in what the real world calls “analysis paralysis”. We have a huge dream but we do not achieve it, or sometimes don’t even start working. We start thinking of all the things that have to be done; things we do not have, and start to get discouraged which will work against our will of creating something. Fortunately, there’s a solution. Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who are perhaps some of the most famous names in the tech world, have several secrets to their success and one of them is: “think big, act small”. The inventors of Google used this principle in order to succeed with what we know now as one of the most prolific and advanced companies in history. Take a vision, break it down into little bits and start tackling them one by one, as small as it is it doesn’t matter, as long as we move forward it has no importance. This way, we will be incrementally achieve our dreams which will create for us the momentum that we need in order to continue. Start today!

The Important Take Away

Thinking big and allowing ourselves to remove any boundaries to the possibilities that are available to all of us is only a matter of choice and of belief. Napoleon Hill who is famous for the many books and teachings that have inspired many others like Tony Robins, Les Brown and any other high achievers once said: “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” What is amazing about this principle is that it shows us that we are the creators of our own reality, and that no matter what we want to do: impact the world positively, disrupt an industry, innovate for the common good, etc. It is possible. We only need to get started. Free yourself from any limitations. Boldness has a certain beauty to it. It has a certain touch of magic. In this world of crowd funding and million dollar tweets, we never know who out there might help us in the achievement of the “impossible”. Dream big and act in the directions of your dreams, well done will always be better to well said.
